www.lambresearch.com: David Lamb’s Prospect Research Page: Lists many sites for different types of searches on left hand side of the home page.

General searches:

www.zoominfo.com: Links people with company information

www.zabasearch.com: General people search. See history of addresses and sometimes birthdates and telephone numbers.

www.infospace.com: Find address and phone number information. Click on People or Business on left side.

www.peoplefinders.com: Find associated names, especially for married or maiden names of female prospects. Gives address history information, age, and possible relatives.

www.pipl.com: General people search by name and town. Searches the "deep internet” and sometimes a more focused result than Google. Sometimes shows addresses and birth month and year.

www.nenpa.com: New England Newspaper and Press Association. Click on “Directories” on left side of screen. Links to local newspapers across New England.

www.newspapers.com: Link to newspapers by state. 

Physicians:

www.docboard.org/docfinder.html: Search by name. Shows licensing details, such as specialty, medical school, graduation year, and practice address and phone.

www.Ama-assn.org: AMA Physician Select. Click on “Doctorfinder” on right side of page. Then click on “For Patients" then “Doctorfinder” again. Search by name and state. Shows specialty and educational background.

Attorneys:

www.Martindale.com: Search by name of left side of screen. Shows practice area, link to firm, biographical information, and educational background.

Political Contributions:

www.Opensecrets.org: Click on “Donor Look” at near bottom left of page and then search by donor name.

Real Estate:

www.zillow.com: Find general market estimates for specific addresses and neighborhoods.

www.visionappraisal.com/databases: Find tax assessor information for most towns in NE; create user name and password for access to some sites, no fee.

 CORPORATIONS: Public Companies

www.archive.org: Internet archive for businesses – search websites that have since expired or for information they listed on their site as far back as 1996; good for finding biographical information on prospects at their former places of business or where they retired from.

www.cbsmarketwatch.com: Enter the company ticker symbol or name in upper right corner, then view Profile, News, Financials, Exec Pay, Historial Quotes, SEC Filings, and Insider Actions for up-to-date information on that company. 

http://finance.yahoo.com: Click on “Investing” at the top of the page, and type in symbol of company. Gives choices (on left side) to view company profile, key statistics, SEC filings, insider transactions, competitors, and more.

www.hoovers.com: Search on company name or by executive name to find company descriptions, list of top executives, contact information, sales, number of employees, annual reports, and current company press releases. Limited information. More in-depth information available for a fee.

  FOUNDATIONS

http://fconline.foundationcenter.org/: Click first on Finding Funders and then Foundation Finder to search foundations by name, city, or state. Gives contact information, type of foundation, assets, total giving, and most recent IRS Filing. Search the 990 form for list of board members, grants awarded, and other financial information.

Click on Gain Knowledge and then Grant Stats for a listing of Top Foundations by State.

You will need to subscribe ($) to the Foundation Directory online in order to search for foundations by program interest and support.
